About
My name is Patrick Eugene Christensen
Hi! I started this LLC because I've always liked a challenge. I'm a big fan of the Precast & Prestressed/Post-Tensioned building methods, the GFRC Cladding method, & the Tilt-Up method.
I started at Wells Concrete during their transition from Rocky Mountain Prestress as a Laborer; then worked in the Steel Shop, then as a Quality Control Technician, then Quality Control Inspector. I realized that if I was the one drawing the blueprints: I could help everyone downstream, so I transferred to the Drafting Department; & after several months of Drafting using Revit it became clear that I was good at Checking other people's work & became a Project Checker.
Most recently I worked at FDG inc. (Frontrange Design Group) as a Drafter (Revit & AutoCAD), Modeler (Revit), & Checker. Primarily doing Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) Cladding projects for Walters & Wolf, Clark Pacific, & Willis Construction. As well as Precast buildings for Wells Concrete & helping with a few other clients as needed. As a Modeler I found even more ability to affect things upstream!
Luckily I've been able to learn from very experienced coworkers at both companies & tried to ask as many questions as possible of the: Engineers, Modelers, BIM Department, Checkers, Project Managers, Stripping-Shipping & Handling, Labor Crew Leaders, Quality Control Department, etc...
Also, not to brag but: I've read several PCI & ACI textbooks/manuals, & attended courses at the PCI Convention.
If I could've started a Precast Plant instead, I would've, but this will be a good start.
For fun: I enjoy Hosting or attending activities organized by Events & Adventures, going to Meetup groups, playing volleyball leagues through Volo Sports, Paint & Sips, attending plays/musicals, watching Anime, & I usually have an Audiobook playing when possible.
